Getting ready for #MozCon 2015

It’s been a while that I haven’t update SEtalks.com but this is because work is keeping me busy all day long and weekends from the past few weeks were very engaged with documentation and packing to attend the MozCon 2015.

Thank you Moz Team for the Free MozCon ticket! 🙂

So, now that I am all ready and prepared to fly in the next couple of days to US I thought to write this post. If you are attending MozCon 2015, do follow me on twitter @mmhemani and drop me a message I would love to meet you in person.

So, why am I flying to Seattle, really?

Moz team can correct me if I am wrong but I guess I am the only Pakistani who is attending this conference this year and there are multiple reasons for it.

  • Education

The speaker’s panel includes some of my most favorites like Rand Fishkin, Ruth Burr, Wil Reynolds, Cyrus Shepard, Pete Meyers and more which makes it the greatest digital marketing conference ever. I am going there first time in person but I am a big fan of all of these people since I started implementing the right kind of SEO. I still remember the days when Gianluca Fiorelli used to encourage me by appreciating my comments in the Moz’s blog and QnA section and he corrected me where I was wrong. Thank you sir for all the help and support!

One of the reasons I am flying is because there will be a great chance to learn all the new and actionable stuff about SEO and Digital Marketing. The best part which I am really looking forward to is to connect with the speakers in person. I believe that this conference will enhance my skill level and I will be able to perform better at work.

Note: I will be updating quick post on my blog at the end of each day from 13th to 15 of July so do subscribe and if you have any questions, write them  in the comment section and I will get the answers for you!

  • Networking

When you are living in a country like Pakistan, the worst part is that you cannot network easily with like-minded people, which make it difficult to share and come up with new ideas.

I personally believe that our job is not confined to our computer desks rather it’s about meeting people, sharing ideas and innovate something. I think this conference is the perfect place for me to network with other professionals, learn from their experiences and come up with new ideas.

I am flying mostly because I want to meet with great brains in the industry in person, learn from them and see how I can bring amazing results for myself and my clients.

Note: If you bare flying to Seattle for MozCon or already lives in Seattle and involved in digital marketing, follow me on twitter @mmhemani and I will try my best to meet you in person.

  • More Opportunities

Networking = more opportunities

Thus I am in bonafide to come across some, myself. Who knows if I  might come across a chance to speak in some other session or conference in the near future, or may be a new business connection or a job opening, so my fingers are crossed and my eyes will be wide open to grasp on any such opportunity I get.

I am flying to Seattle to see what other part of the world holds for me.

Note: I am always open to interesting and challenging opportunities so do let me know if you have one for me 🙂

  • Travel

As this will be my first ever trip to US, with conference and networking I am excited to explore Seattle. Let me know if you know any interesting place that I can visit.

I am flying to explore Seattle as well.

Note: Anyone interested in exploring Seattle, let’s connect!

I know how hard you’ve worked for this trip, Moosa, and am super excited to meet you, as is the entire Community Team!! I hope you will consider joining me on Wednesday of the conference for lunch at the Q&A Birds of a Feather table, where I am sure you will see many familiar faces from the forum. No pressure, though. 🙂

    Safe journeys, Moosa!

^ When I saw this, I was half-expecting you to follow up with, “Because I really like Starbucks and soggy weather.”

So, now that the event has passed, are you going to post an update? Would love to see it. Hope you got a ton of value out of it.
