We had our 2nd Karachi SEO meet-up on 29th June 2013 which turned out to be amazing in terms of audience, content and interaction as compared to the one we had back in May 2011. The major reason for the meet-up was to understand and discuss the latest tactics that are being practised or even the newly introduced ones in the sphere and how to implement them to win rankings and conversions for in-house websites as well as for better clients.
The culture of exchanging knowledge through workshops, seminars and conferences is widespread in the West so we took up a similar idea and arranged a one day workshop and I was truly obliged to be the presenter there!
I tried to focus on the topics that were much more important for the audience to understand so that they can get better visibility and conversions for their businesses through direct implementations of the explained phenomenon.
Introduction to Modern SEOs:
There are tons of webmasters in the western world as well as in the eastern one who actually have no idea of how much SEO and digital marketing has changed over the years. My first presentation was about Modern SEO, revolution of SEO 1.0 (directory submission, article directories, blog commenting, forum links, press releases) to SEO 2.0 which includes website visibility, content marketing, relationship building, co citation, co occurrence and much more.
This was most demanding topic as people were keen to learn new and fresh ideas for building links as directories, blog comments and forums are simply not effective any more.
In this presentation I discussed some of the link building tactics which I use to grab links for me and my clients’ websites that includes grabbing link opportunities from advance search operators, guest blogging, link baits, ego baits, 404 link building and more…
The presentation contains details of how I build links to get desired results for me and my clients’ website.
There was also a long AMA (Ask me anything) session in the workshop where the attendees came up with their real problems and confusions that they had in their minds, I tried to resolve them on the spot from the best of my knowledge and experience.
We are planning to have more workshops and conferences like this one so that we can exchange knowledge and play our part in shaping the SEO and digital marketing industry worldwide.
